Northern Michigan’s Natural Beauty Perfect for RVers’ Retreat
Indigo Bluffs RV Retreat Launches Web Site and National Marketing Campaign
January 13, 2009
Emppire, Mich. – Developers and owners of Indigo Bluffs are proud to announce the launch of northern Michigan’s first RV Retreat. Located in Empire, Mich. on the cusp of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Indigo Bluffs will attract RVers to the area by offering a mix of resort-like amenities, access to local attractions and relaxation.
The property, which currently operates as the Sleepy Bear Campground, is undergoing renovations to include a two-story registration building and the addition of 40 lots for site ownership by Class A motorhome owners. Indigo Bluffs will be one of few destinations in Michigan and across the country that blends upscale site ownership with traditional RV and trailer camping.
“Indigo Bluffs will truly be a unique experience for all Michigan travelers,” said Gary Becker, Indigo Bluffs’ proprietor. “Being so close to the Lake and the Dunes appeals to those who are looking for a home away for home; a place they can retreat to life’s simple pleasures while also having the ability to explore.”
To help drive Phase I sales Indigo Bluffs is launching a full-scale marketing campaign, which began last month with the unveiling of the Web site, IndigoBluffs.com. To further introduce the brand and property to the industry, Indigo Bluffs will make its first public appearance at the largest RV show in the country, Florida RV Trade Association’s Tampa Supershow, which is being held Jan. 13 – 18, 2009. At this show and others, Indigo Bluffs’ team will not only market the brand, but they will also introduce RVers to the beauty and nature found in northern Michigan.
"The opportunity to experience nature's beauty is definitely one reason people travel," explained Dave Lorenz of Travel Michigan. "Because our state encompasses so many of nature's wonders - more freshwater coastline than any other state in the country, thousands of inland lakes, rivers and streams, and unique settings such as the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes - Pure Michigan is truly a nature lover's paradise."
Becker is confident Michigan’s aesthetics, coupled with Indigo Bluffs’ long list of both distinctive and standard amenities, will attract many to property after the May 2009 opening.
